Key takeaways from CPHI Milan 2026
We are back in Belgium after three days at CPHI Milan, with new and exciting contacts.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth. Here are some key takeaways from our side:
1. Peptides and sensitive molecules need the right drying process.
Our spray dryers, designed and produced by our sister company Procept, operate with laminar rather than turbulent flow. This makes them extremely well suited for spray drying peptides and other sensitive molecules, from small-scale screening through to GMP production.
2. Spray drying is everywhere, and so is the need for capacity.
Spray drying came up in many conversations, and often with the same question: how do you get enough capacity? With our own SD1L spray dryer now in house, we significantly increase our capacity, making larger batch productions possible at Xedev. Capacity can be increased even further through parallelization: we place several spray dryers side by side, and they still fit in a standard lab room.
3. Speed to market matters.
Developers want a fast path from promising compound to clinical supply. As a flexible CDMO, Xedev can offer that, with development and GMP manufacturing under one roof.
4. AI was one of the most discussed topics at the show.
It came up across the whole development and manufacturing chain, including how it can speed up formulation decisions. However, this also raises the importance of good experimental data to feed those models.
Missed us in Milan, or want to continue the conversation? Get in touch and let’s talk about your project.
Xedev at CPHI Milan 2026: Come and meet us at Booth 12A71!
The heart of the global pharma industry returns to Italy, and Xedev will be there! We are excited to exhibit at CPHI Milan 2026 at Fiera Milano from October 6th to 8th.
As a CDMO dedicated to scientific excellence and GMP compliance, we are proud to contribute to this year’s theme: Shaping pharma’s future. In an era of rapid digital transformation and increasingly complex drug molecules, Xedev provides robust development and manufacturing required to bring the next generation of solid oral dosages to market.
